Dr. Maria Colbert is a newly graduated chiropractor from St. John’s, NL. Since a very young age, Maria has been passionate about physical activity with a background heavy in dance and sport. This sparked her interest in the human body and a career in health care. Maria started her post-secondary education at Memorial University of Newfoundland where she graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Co-op) (Honours) in 2019. From there, she moved off the rock to Toronto to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She graduated from CMCC in 2023. Although she enjoyed her time in Toronto, her home province was calling her name and she is back to serve the beautiful people of St. John’s, Mount Pearl, and surrounding areas.

Maria’s approach to chiropractic is patient-centered, each treatment is unique for each patient’s preferences and goals. Maria is trained to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions for the entire body, not just the spine. Her treatments consist of manipulation, mobilizations, a variety of soft tissue therapies, rehabilitation, and lifestyle modifications. Her goal is for you to get back to doing what you love.

 

When Maria is not treating patients, she can be found spending time outdoors, staying active, spending time with family and friends, trying local restaurants, and travelling.
